• Why we’re watching: With odds as big as this on an edge as clear as this, this has got to be one of the best value games this weekend.

• CXSports says: Manchester United come into this match with a few things working to their advantage — they have the better head-to-head record, some better overall form, and a better attack. And that’s despite the fact that they’re down a few men in defense personnel. As for Brentford, they’re likely to struggle to hold back United’s forward line. But, with the home crowd on their side, they might be able to exploit any lapses in United’s diminished defense to at least get something on the board, although they’ll still struggle to match United.

• Score prediction: 1-2 for Manchester United

• Why we’re watching: With a couple of key defensive players missing, there’s a very high chance of a BTTS play hitting here.

• CXSports says: Chelsea comes into this game with a distinct edge thanks to their superior head-to-head record, stronger home form, and better overall attacking options. As such, Chelsea should be able to walk away from this game with a victory if they can keep their focus and not let a very likely challenge from Brighton get the better of them. However, with several injuries, especially in defence, they will need to stay focused if they don’t want to let Brighton get away with more than a single goal. Of course, that scenario is quite unlikely, so Chelsea should take this one without too much trouble.

• CXSports says: As the current leader (and only side with 5 straight victories in the League), Liverpool should theoretically take this game. However, Palace has been in fine form lately, so it might not be the most comfortable victory they’ve had, particularly given Palace’s strong defense that will likely limit Liverpool’s ability to get away with too many goals. Still, Liverpool’s superior attack and their historical dominance in this fixture bode well, so they remain the strong favorite here.

• Why we’re watching: Big edge for Everton makes this one hard to ignore.

• CXSports says: Neither side here has had a dream start to the season. But, let’s be honest — Everton are in much better shape than West Ham at this point. They’re stronger defensively, have fewer losses on the board, and have used their home advantage to much better effect. West Ham, on the other hand, have struggled on just about all fronts — defensive and up front — and will be especially vulnerable here on the road. In short, West Ham has a clear and undeniable edge here.

• Why we’re watching: It’s a bit of a long shot, but there’s several signs pointing towards a potential Leeds victory (with some solid odds up for grabs).

• CXSports says: Leeds’ recent victory against the Wolves has given them a major confidence boost, and has hinted that they’re shaping up to become a half-decent squad. Especially at home. What’s more, they’ve also got a historical edge over Bournemouth (6 victories in the past 8 H2Hs), which might just give them an additional psychological edge. Those two elements could be major deciding factors here, despite Bournemouth’s higher league standing and strong attacking potential, meaning they won’t be an easy target. With that said, some key absences (notably in defence and midfield) could limit them just enough to let Leeds get the upper hand.

• Why we’re watching: Hands down, this is the surest thing in this week’s batch of EPL fixtures.

• CXSports says: Let’s cut straight to the chase — it’s very likely (almost certain) that City will take a very comfortable victory here, even if Burnley manages to offer up some resistance early on. If we need evidence of this beyond the obvious stats we can glean from the table, the H2H history here is very telling — 20 City victories vs 1 for Burnley). Throw City’s home advantage into this mix, and couple that against Burnley’s serious defensive shortcomings, and what we have is the perfect recipe for a runaway victory by the home team.

• Score prediction: 3-0 for Manchester City

⚽ Nottingham Forest vs Sunderland

• Why we’re watching: There’s some huge odds up for grabs here on what could very well be a Sunderland victory.

• CXSports says: As a freshly-promoted squad, Sunderland has been hard to ignore this season — they’ve only been defeated once in five games, have a goal difference of +2, and are sitting comfortably in the mid-table. That’s notable in and of itself, but compared to Forest’s disaster of a season (just one victory and a goal difference of -4), it’s even more notable. What’s also interesting here is Forest’s somewhat embarrassing performances at home this season, including a humiliating 0-3 defeat at the hands of West Ham (yes, West Ham) a few weeks ago. In short, if Sunderland can bring their A-game, they’re in with a very real shot of taking this game, although it will be tight.

• Score prediction: 0-1 for Sunderland

⚽ Tottenham vs Wolves

• Why we’re watching: There’s some surprisingly strong odds here given how likely Tottenham is to take this game with ease.

• CXSports says: At this point, is it even worth talking about the Wolves? With five straight losses so far this season and dead last on the table with a massive -9 goal difference, they’re looking like a hopeless case this season. Tottenham, on the other hand, have only dropped a single game so far and are firmly locked into the race for the top-4 positions on the table with an impressive goal difference of +7. That should tell you just about everything you need to know about this match — a match that will likely end in a very humiliating defeat for the Wolves.

• Score prediction: 3-0 for Tottenham
