SCORE PREDICTIONS [FIRST HALF]
This week’s top tips and score predictions, brought to you by CXSports — the leader in odds and score predictions.
⚽ Liverpool vs Everton
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 13:30 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: You simply can’t ignore it when a clear edge with half-decent odds falls into your lap.
CXSports says: Liverpool are in top form and will be playing this match with their famous home advantage, a superior squad (even with a few absent players), and have a solid history of thoroughly beating Everton at Anfield. About the only things missing from that list are Everton’s defensive abilities and their injured players. In other words, expect to see Liverpool take control of the match and add yet another victory to their already impressive head-to-head history in this fixture.
Score prediction: 2-0 for Liverpool
Option #1
Bet: Liverpool Victory
Odds Range: 1.34-1.48
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)
Odds Range: 1.85-2.05
⚽ Brighton vs Tottenham
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: Absolutely massive odds here, given Tottenham’s very real chances in this game.
CXSports says: Tottenham are looking like the favourites in this game — even with their injuries, they still have better offensive firepower and the momentum to go with it, even away from home. Brighton, of course, could still be dangerous, but so far they’ve struggled and may find it difficult to contain Spurs, particularly given their current defensive vulnerabilities. That’s not to say they’re out of the running completely — it’s just that Tottenham has the edge here.
Score prediction: 1-2 for Tottenham
Option #1
Bet: Tottenham Victory
Odds Range: 2.50-3.05
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Odds Range: 1.38-1.55
⚽ Burnley vs Nottingham Forest
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: If you want big odds that still have a decent chance of hitting, then this one’s for you. The double chance play’s not bad, either.
CXSports says: Neither of these sides is doing particularly well so far this season. Burnley is in 17th place after losing all but one game, and Forest is in 15th, with one extra point to their name. But while things might look slightly more grim for Burnley, where things start to look better is their slightly better scoring stats — both teams have scored 4, but Burnley’s conceded one less. Now add in their home advantage and the fact that Forest’s likely been destabilized by their recent management upheaval, and things start to look promising for the home side, even if their edge remains minimal.
Score prediction: 1-0 for Burnley
Option #1
Bet: Burnley Victory
Odds Range: 3.00-3.50
Option #2
Bet: Double Chance (Burnley / Forest)
Odds Range: 1.15-1.35
⚽ West Ham vs Crystal Palace
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: This is far from the surest thing this week, but it might still be worth your time if you want something with a little more excitement.
CXSports says: If you count an undefeated streak made up almost entirely of draws as a decent start to the season, then Crystal Palace has had exactly that. And if you refuse to count such middling mediocrity as a decent start, then at least compare it to West Ham’s start — they’ve suffered as many losses as Palace has draws. Now, that’s not to say that West Ham won’t pull something out of the bag here — they probably will. It’s just, it probably won’t be enough to take (or hold onto) the lead. As such, expect this one to end in a draw.
Score prediction: 1-1 draw
Option #1
Bet: Draw
Odds Range: 3.05-3.50
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Odds Range: 1.58-1.80

SCORE PREDICTIONS [SECOND HALF]
⚽ Wolves vs Leeds
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching:
CXSports says: With four straight losses, the Wolves have had a disastrous start to the season. And while Leeds might be sitting higher in the table right now, we’re not convinced they’re really doing much better — while one win and a draw might look good, they’ve arguably only managed that through pure luck (how else do you explain their results given the fact they’ve only scored one goal all season!?). Ultimately, this game’s very likely a wash, despite Leed’s “better” results so far.
Score prediction: 1-0 or 0-1 for either side
Option #1
Bet: Double Chance (Wolves / Leeds)
Odds Range: 1.26-1.38
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)
Odds Range: 1.67-1.91
⚽ Manchester United vs Chelsea
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 18:30 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: Some nice odds on a decently-performing Chelsea squad who’s got what it takes to come out on top here.
CXSports says: United and Chelsea are both up to their old (well, 2024-25 season) tricks again, with each sitting at opposite ends of the table. Now, maybe United can turn their season around and work their way out of the doldrums, but at this stage, that’s not looking likely, so expect to see Chelsea edge this one.
Score prediction: 1-2 for Chelsea
Option #1
Bet: Chelsea Victory
Odds Range: 2.28-2.45
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Odds Range: 1.36-1.53
⚽ Fulham vs Brentford
🏟 English Premier League
Saturday 20 September; 21:00 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: Momentum, confidence, and a home advantage combine here to make for a high-probability Fulham victory.
CXSports says: Fulham has some decent momentum after their recent victory over Leeds. And with a fully available squad (no reported injuries), they’ll be feeling especially good when they run out onto their home turf. As for Brentford, while it has been about as competitive as Fulham so far this season, they’re currently weighed down by the absence of Gustavo Gomes, a loss of momentum, and the fact that they’re playing this one on the road. Given that, the edge goes to Fulham.
Score prediction: 2-1 for Fulham
Option #1
Bet: Fulham Victory
Odds Range: 1.83-2.05
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Odds Range: 1.60-1.80
⚽ Arsenal vs Manchester City
🏟 English Premier League
Sunday 21 September; 17:30 (Europe/Paris)
Why we’re watching: Here’s a slightly risky play with an outsized reward if it pays off (which it very well could).
CXSports says: Theoretically, Arsenal are the favorites to win here. Between their better overall performance in the league and their home advantage, everything seems to be pointing in their favour… except, there’s a problem. With an injury list that’s knocked out several key players in attack and defense, there’s a good chance that City, despite playing on the road, may just get the upper hand in this match. Of course, that’s far from a certain outcome — even with missing players, Arsenal’s still a formidable squad — but the chances of City coming out on top are higher than most people think.
Score prediction: 1-2 for Manchester City
Option #1
Bet: Manchester City Victory
Odds Range: 3.58-3.90
Option #2
Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)
Odds Range: 1.54-1.72

THE FINAL SCORE
Your weekly dose of inspiration, brought to you by Masters of Trivia.
Last year, after Liverpool took the title, a bunch of people (Arsenal in particular) claimed it was simply because Liverpool had ben “lucky”.
This is what Arne Slot had to say in response

Moral of the story?
When Liverpool missed out on the title, Slot didn’t complain about other teams being “lucky”.
Instead, he focused on what Liverpool needed to do to win, and then he did it.
And it worked — by focusing on his own side’s weaknesses rather than the apparent luck of other teams, Slot turned Liverpool into a lean, mean, winning machine.
The best part is, we can all apply that same mindset to anything.
