💯 our surest predictions EVER

These predictions can’t be beaten!

Good Morning ☀️,

It’s Lucas here, your Chief Predictions Officer at What Are the Odds?

Quick show of hands — who knows Warren Buffett?

For those who don’t, he’s the world’s #1 investor. One of his secrets was “compound interest”. But there’s a catch — even at 10-30% per annum, it takes years to double your investment.

Lucky for you, we’ve got a cheat code that’ll wrap years of compound interest into a single weekend.

That cheat code is a batch of our surest predictions ever.

Now, sadly, the odds aren’t huge (topping out at 1.25 on Moldova vs Norway). But, if you “compound” them, then what follows could deliver an easy 2-3x.

But what makes these predictions so sure? Easy — it’s the World Cup Qualifiers, where world-dominating teams take on the lightweights who barely even know how to kick a ball!

Here’s what else is coming up in today’s edition of What Are the Odds?

  • Our usual half-time entertainment in the form of a trivia quiz from our friends at Masters of Trivia. ❓

  • More wise words from the world’s most famous investor (Warren Buffett). ⭐

PS: Most weeks, we include a little bit about “why we’re watching” for each prediction. This week, it’s the same reason for all of ‘em — they’re solid, unbeatable predictions.

SCORE PREDICTIONS [FIRST HALF]

This week’s top tips and score predictions, brought to you by CXSports — the leader in odds and score predictions.

⚽ Cyprus vs San Marino
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Friday 21 March; 18:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: The last seven times these two have met, Cyprus has won every single time. What’s more, they’ve managed to do so with a crushing goal average of +21 (22 scored, 1 conceded). With that said, San Marino has shown some improvement lately, so they may avoid the 3+ goal defeats that usually characterize this fixture. But that’s probably about all they can hope for — Cyprus will still walk all over them.

  • Score prediction: 2-0 for Cyprus

Bet Option #1

  • Bet: Cyprus Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.17-1.20

Bet Option #2

  • Bet: Correct Score (2-0)

  • Odds Range: 4.50-5.75

⚽ England vs Albania
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Friday 21 March; 20:45 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: Given England’s status as one of the greats of world soccer, it’s no surprise that they’ve historically dominated this fixture. The last six times these two have met, England’s come out on top 100% of the time, all while netting 19 goals and only conceding one. Albania’s recent performances don’t seem to give it much hope this time around, either — in the last Nation’s League season, they found themselves relegated to Group C after finishing dead last in Group B1.

  • Score prediction: 3-0 for England

Option #1

  • Bet: England Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.12-1.18

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.36-1.50

⚽ Poland vs Lithuania
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Friday 21 March; 20:45 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: These two haven’t faced off in a head-to-head for a while. But the last time they did (2018) Poland destroyed Lithuania with a 4-0 victory. With that said, Poland hasn’t been in top form recently — in their last five Nations League matches, they’ve suffered four losses and only managed to offset that with a single draw. Of course, that doesn’t change the balance in this game much — they’re still the far superior team. Just don’t expect quite so big of a margin this time around.

  • Score prediction: 2-0 for Poland

Option #1

  • Bet: Poland Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.10-1.15

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.36-1.45

⚽ Liechtenstein vs North Macedonia
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Saturday 22 March; 15:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: Historically, when Liechtenstein goes up against North Macedonia, they usually end up walking away with their tails between their legs. Sometimes embarrassingly so — once upon a time, Liechtenstein got crushed 11-1 by North Macedonia, although that was almost a quarter of a century ago. Since then, the scorelines tend to end up around 3 to 5 goals in North Macedonia’s favor. And given North Macedonia’s recent form (unbeaten in their last five), we expect a similar outcome this time around.

  • Score prediction: 0-3 for North Macedonia

Option #1

  • Bet: North Macedonia Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.08-1.12

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.28-1.36

HALF TIME ENTERTAINMENT

Read to the end to see if you were right.

SCORE PREDICTIONS [SECOND HALF]

⚽ Moldova vs Norway
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Saturday 22 March; 18:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: Recently, Norway has been in formidable form with some notable wins in the UEFA Champions League. The same can’t be said for Moldova, who’ve had more mixed results in their most recent matches. Further hurting the case for Moldova is the fact that Norway has historically been dominant in this fixture — of the five head-to-heads on record, Norway has won the last four, with the remaining match (from way back in 2005) ending in a draw

  • Score prediction: 0-2 for Norway

Option #1

  • Bet: Norway Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.18-1.25

Option #2

  • Bet: Correct Score (0-2)

  • Odds Range: 4.30-5.50

⚽ Montenegro vs Gibraltar
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Saturday 22 March; 18:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: The head-to-head record between these two is fairly limited, with just two prior games in this fixture on record. With that said, both were recent (2022 World Cup qualifiers), and both were extremely telling — Montenegro won both games by 3 goals (4-1 and 3-0). This time around, we’re expecting a similar result, although we’re not going to be surprised if Gibraltar manages to put up a bit more of a fight this time around — they’ve shown some real grit in their recent matches and may just arrive with a slightly improved defense.

  • Score prediction: 2-0 for Montenegro

Option #1

  • Bet: Montenegro Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.04-1.10

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.22-1.31

⚽ Czech Republic vs Faroe Islands
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Saturday 22 March; 20:45 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: There are two things you need to know about this fixture. The first is that the Czech Republic has never conceded a goal to the Faroe Islands. The second is that the Czech side has scored at least one goal in every single game. In other words, the Czechs have an unbroken record of clean-sheet victories against the Faroe Islands extending way back over the decades, and that’s probably not about to change in this game.

  • Score prediction: 3-0 for Czech Republic

Option #1

  • Bet: Czech Republic Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.04-1.10

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.33-1.45

⚽ Wales vs Kazakhstan
World Cup UEFA Qualification (Round 1)
Saturday 22 March; 20:45 (Europe/Paris)

  • CXSports says: The last time we saw a UEFA World Cup Qualifier (2021), Wales posted a solid mix of wins and draws, all while only losing a single match. Kazakhstan, on the other hand, didn’t win a single match (although they did manage a few draws). That should already set the scene for this fixture, and a look at each side's recent form (3 wins and 2 draws in the last 5 for Wales vs five straight losses for Kazakhstan) only further cements the case for a Wales victory.

  • Score prediction: 2-0 for Wales

Option #1

  • Bet: Wales Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.13-1.20

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (No)

  • Odds Range: 1.44-1.55
