SCORE PREDICTIONS [FIRST HALF]

This weekā€™s top tips and score predictions, brought to you by CXSports ā€” the leader in odds and score predictions.

āš½ Everton vs Arsenal
English Premier League
Saturday 5 April; 13:30 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: Great odds on a high-probability Arsenal victory.

  • CXSports says: Everton is only just managing to get by in the league. While it has inched away from the relegation zone, itā€™s still in fifteenth place. And with good reason. Meanwhile, Arsenal has been flying high, even if their title hopes are probably dashed by now. Thereā€™s not much more that needs to be said ā€” the relative quality of each team is on full display based on the table alone. This one goes to Arsenal.

  • Score prediction: 0-1 or 0-2 for Arsenal

Option #1

  • Bet: Arsenal Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.65-1.73

Option #2

  • Bet: First Team to Score (Arsenal)

  • Odds Range: 1.49-1.55

āš½ Ipswich vs Wolves
English Premier League
Saturday 5 April; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: There are some nice odds on a safe double-chance play here.

  • CXSports says: Wolves are another side thatā€™s struggling big time in the Premier League, although they arenā€™t struggling quite as much as their opponents in this match ā€” Ipswich. Of course, thatā€™s not to say the Wolves are going to come in and dominate this match. They most likely wonā€™t. They do, however, hold a slight edge that could see them sneak through for a rare win. If not, this game will likely end in a draw.

  • Score prediction: 2-1 for Wolves or a 1-1 draw

Option #1

  • Bet: Double Chance (Draw / Wolves)

  • Odds Range: 1.30-1.43

Option #2

  • Bet: Wolves Victory

  • Odds Range: 2.22-2.45

āš½ Crystal Palace vs Brighton
English Premier League
Saturday 5 April; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: This will be one of the tightest games all week. But if you hedge either way, the odds are decent enough that youā€™ll com out with a nice windfall.

  • CXSports says: Boy, is this match going to be tight. Right now, Crystal Palace is holding steady in the mid-table and is within striking range of higher positions. Brighton is slightly higher, though, and is even competitive in the race for European qualification. Based on that, youā€™d think Brighton would be the favorite here. That is, until you remember these two facts. First, the last time these two met, Crystal Palace stomped out a 1-3 away win over Brighton. And second, Palace has the home advantage here. Therefore, a very slight edge goes to Crystal Palace, although this could go either way.

  • Score prediction: 2-1 or 1-2 for either side.

Option #1

  • Bet: Double Chance (Palace / Brighton)

  • Odds Range: 1.20-1.33

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)

  • Odds Range: 1.53-1.62

āš½ West Ham vs Bournemouth
English Premier League
Saturday 5 April; 16:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: This will be a close game. But if you can stomach the risk, there are some nice odds on Bournemouth.

  • CXSports says: In their last head-to-head, West Ham actually managed to come close to a victory over Bournemouth, and they would have had it if Bournemouth hadnā€™t managed a late equalizer to bring the game to a draw. So will the same happen this time? Itā€™s possible, but itā€™s also not exactly likely. Thereā€™s a reason thereā€™s a 10 point gap between these two on the table: Bournemouth simply manages to put up a higher quality of soccer game after game.

  • Score prediction: 0-2 or 1-2 for Bournemouth

Option #1

  • Bet: Bournemouth Victory

  • Odds Range: 2.04-2.25

Option #2

  • Bet: Double Chance (Draw / Bournemouth)

  • Odds Range: 1.59-1.70

SCORE PREDICTIONS [SECOND HALF]

āš½ Tottenham vs Southampton
English Premier League
Sunday 6 April; 15:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: Wanna watch a team get thrashed? Then watch this game.

  • CXSports says: The last time these two met, Tottenham absolutely obliterated Southampton 5-0. And chances are, weā€™re about to witness some similar carnage in this game. After all, Southamptonā€™s season has only continued to unravel since then (FYI: theyā€™re dead last on the table), while Tottenham has done okay, even if not brilliantly by normal EPL standards.

  • Score prediction: 3-1 or 4-1 for Tottenham

Option #1

  • Bet: Tottenham Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.33-1.45

Option #2

  • Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes)

  • Odds Range: 1.48-1.62

āš½ Brentford vs Chelsea
English Premier League
Sunday 6 April; 15:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: Thereā€™s a very safe draw-no-bet play here with some very nice odds.

  • CXSports says: Brentford has been hit with a bit of a dip in form recently. Meanwhile, Chelsea has picked up its game again after some recent setbacks and are now hanging out with the table-toppers. With that said, despite the dip in form, Brentfordā€™s still looking like theyā€™re capable of causing some trouble for higher-ranked opponents, so they might just hold Chelsea to a draw. Not likely, but donā€™t rule it out.

  • Score prediction: 1-2 for Chelsea or a 2-2 draw

Option #1

  • Bet: Chelsea Victory

  • Odds Range: 2.04-2.19

Option #2

  • Bet: Draw no bet (Chelsea)

  • Odds Range: 1.49-1.60

āš½ Fulham vs Liverpool
English Premier League
Sunday 6 April; 15:00 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: Solid odds on a high-probability victory by Liverpool.

  • CXSports says: Fulham has been a consistent mid-table performer. Totally respectable, and a real threat to the average EPL team. Liverpool, however, are not just another average team. Far from it ā€” theyā€™ve been near-flawless this season and have only lost a single game. The chances of this becoming their second loss of the season are slim to none.

  • Score prediction: 1-2 or 1-3 for Liverpool.

Option #1

  • Bet: Liverpool Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.73-1.87

Option #2

  • Bet: Both teams to Score (Yes)

  • Odds Range: 1.66-1.75

āš½ Manchester United vs Manchester City
English Premier League
Sunday 6 April; 17:30 (Europe/Paris)

  • Why weā€™re watching: Thereā€™s a safe double chance play here, and some great odds on City if you wanna go all in.

  • CXSports says: This season, Manchester United has had one of their worst campaigns in years. And while Manchester City hasnā€™t exactly been flawless, theyā€™re at least still holding onto a top-five status. Now, thatā€™s not to say this will be a walk in the park for City ā€” United is still more than capable of inflicting some pain. However, all things considered, City holds a strong edge.

  • Score prediction: 0-1 for Manchester City or a 1-1 draw

Option #1

  • Bet: Manchester City Victory

  • Odds Range: 1.93-2.06

Option #2

  • Bet: Double Chance (United / City)

  • Odds Range: 1.22-1.30

THE FINAL SCORE

Your weekly dose of inspiration, brought to you by Masters of Trivia.

Excuses. We all make them. But sometimes, we pretend that they are reasonable explanations.

And yes, that includes Erling Haaland.

Now, does playing 70 games a year excuse him from messing up what couldā€™ve been a crucial, game-changing moment? Probably not. After all, if he canā€™t handle the demands of the top flight, then whatā€™s he doing in the top flight?

Long story short, if your explanations donā€™t measure up to the gravity of your mistakes, then theyā€™re nothing more than lame excuses.
